So, I had considered waiting a little longer to launch this—but I am about as far along as I can get without some real-world testing.
So here it is!
Welcome to Weekly Winlink With KE7ADD, or WWW-KE7ADD!
This is a weekly Winlink challenge net designed to encourage operators to check in, try new modes, practice portable and backup-power operations, build practical communications skills, and earn points along the way.
All successful weekly check-ins count toward your score, and there are bonus points available for trying a mode for the first time, operating portable or mobile, and using backup power.
Operators of all experience levels are welcome. Whether you are starting with Telnet or checking in through VARA FM, packet, APRSLink, or HF, the goal is to get on the air, experiment, and have some fun.
The net is now live, but there may still be a few bugs to work out as we begin receiving actual check-ins. Feedback is welcome, and the system will continue to improve as we test it together.
